Function Background/Context

Citigroup Internal Audit provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi’s numerous regulators globally. IA is a change agent within Citi aimed to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

Job Description Summary

A key aspect of the IA Data and Technology group’s responsibilities is to provide Internal Audit with strategic direction, oversight and coordination of Data Governance activities firmwide. Reporting to IA’s Data Governance Manager, the IA Data Governance Program Manager will collaborate with team members and the Chief Data Office (CDO) to drive IA towards a mature data governance program by enabling Citi’s core data governance capabilities to help IA organize, improve, and leverage its data as a strategic asset.

This role will assist with overall coordination of IA’s Data Transformation activities by managing IA’s Data Governance plan to implement the Enterprise data strategy within Internal Audit, orchestrating overall delivery, including stakeholder engagement within and beyond IA Data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist IA Data Governance Manager in establishing and maintaining IA’s Data Governance program plan

  • Use best practices PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit IA’s needs, oversee this plan and ensure that all stakeholders are identified, understand the program schedule and key milestones

  • Monitor timely execution of milestones, communicating status updates to all concerned parties, and tracking potential risks to delivery, escalating to the Data Governance Manager or the Data Governance & Delivery Lead, when appropriate

  • Ensure that all areas of the program are appropriately staffed and collaborate with IA’s Resource Management team and the Chief Data Office on headcount and budget reporting

  • Prepare materials and meeting minutes for governance forums, regulatory touchpoints and other meetings, as required

Knowledge and Experience:
  • 4-6 years of experience in Program/Project Management.  Prior experience in the financial services industry and/or Data Governance preferred

  • BS/BA degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience in a related field (Program Management, Project Management, Data Governance, etc.)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of Citi’s CPMC processes, Project Tracking Tool (PTS 2.0) and Jira

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Power Point and MS Project

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment where guidance is ambiguous

  • Proven ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals

  • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.  This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic, and approachable style.

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
