Junior BI and Developer

Job Summary

The Junior BI & Integration Specialist will support the development, maintenance, and optimization of business intelligence (BI) solutions and system integrations. This role involves data analysis, report development, dashboard creation, and integration of various systems to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the field of BI and system integration.

Responsibilities

Business Intelligence:

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining BI reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources to create meaningful insights.
• Support data analysis efforts to identify trends and provide actionable business recommendations
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across BI platforms.

System Integrations:

• Assist in developing and maintaining data integration workflows using APIs, ETL tools, and middleware.
• Support the automation of data transfers between enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to troubleshoot integration issues and improve system performance.
• Document integration processes and maintain system architecture diagrams.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Assist in the implementation of data governance policies and best practices.
• Participate in testing and validation of BI solutions and integrations.
• Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and system integration.

Skills and Experience

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 1+ years of experience in BI, data analysis, or system integration (internships and projects count).
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik (certifications are a plus).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data modeling.
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and XML for system integration.
• Knowledge of cloud-based BI and integration platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
