Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager – Data Modeling to join the team.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead data modeling initiatives by utilizing advanced analytical skills and techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, and data scientists to capture and translate requirements into data models.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and compliance procedures.
  • Identify and implement best practices for data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data models to support business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Gather and assess internal and external datasets from various platforms, including databases, data lakes, and APIs, ensuring their quality and alignment with project goals.

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality data models that support analytical, reporting, and decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Ensure that all data models and associated workflows are well-documented, providing clear and concise guides for internal and external teams.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize data models to improve performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
  • Deliver reports and data-driven insights that inform business decisions, ensuring that the models accurately reflect organizational needs.
  • Develop and mentor the data modeling team, ensuring that the team’s skills remain cutting-edge and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Deliver data modeling solutions that meet business requirements and timelines, ensuring stakeholders are satisfied with both the process and the outcome.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or similar roles in a complex, data-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in creating data models for analytical purposes, including OLAP cubes, star schema, snowflake schema, and data warehouses.
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases.
  • Solid experience working with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data models and solutions.
  • Strong background in data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and managing large datasets.

Education and/or Training:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related fields is a plus.
  • Certifications:
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate are desirable.
    • Training in advanced analytics, machine learning, or database management systems can be an asset.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $112,160.00 - $176,645.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
