Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager – Data Governance to join the team.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Establish data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, and security.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure data governance initiatives are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, including data classification, data retention, and data access controls.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to data governance policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Implement data quality management frameworks to monitor and improve data accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee the development of data quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead initiatives to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Provide training and resources to ensure staff are aware of data governance policies and best practices.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and strategies.

Education and/or Training:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Extensive Experience in Data Governance: Proven track record of developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge: A motivated self-starter that can work independently and in teams on tasks and projects with limited supervision.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including budget, personnel, and tools, to support the data governance initiatives.
  • Policy Development: Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all data assets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives related to data governance, promoting a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
  • Communicating & Influencing Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on communicating technical issues to a diverse non-technical audience, providing regular updates on the progress of assignments to users and management on all projects and cases assigned.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including business units, IT, and legal teams, to drive data governance initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey data governance concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $112,160.00 - $176,645.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
