The position is tasked with the designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and data products that power critical business functions within our company. You will work closely with traders, quantitative, market and risk analysts, and other engineers to ensure that our data systems are reliable and performant. The position is also expected to play a key role in shaping the overall data strategy.
Main Accountabilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and databases to support data processing, analysis, and reporting needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quants, analysts, and traders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Priority based activity planning
Improve the ergonomics and functionality of the internal data models.
Expand the collection of public market and fundamentals data.
Identify and clean incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate data.
Work in a quick-release iterative environment relying on good communication with the business users.
Development of data products: dashboards, reports, advanced analytics and data management tools.
Offer advice and support to business users for the data and tools ecosystem.
Profile
Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Hands-on experience with data integration tools, ETL frameworks, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Dagster).
Strong proficiency in RDBMS architecture, design, SQL querying and optimization, as well as data warehousing methodologies
Expertise in Python programming and libraries/frameworks commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (preference for Azure) and related services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
Authoring reports and dashboards with either open source or commercial products (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Plot.ly, matplotlib)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Operating systems: Windows and Linux
Office products: MS Excel (VBA, pivot tables, PowerQuery), MS Word
Excellent oral and written English skills, French is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Snowflake) and working with large datasets
Familiarity with time-series databases and real-time data processing.
Master/Referential data management & data quality assurance
Experience in the energy trading or financial services industry is a plus.
