We’re looking for a data architecture lead like you to solve complex challenges and deliver leading-edge solutions for defense and national security missions.
As a data architect on our defense and national security teams, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data architecture solutions for artificial intelligence-enabled technical solutions. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by working with project teams to make strategic decisions on large-scale data architecture developments.
In this role, you’ll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use a multitude of tools to build innovative data models, modernize team solutions, and identify opportunities for AI-enabled analytics. You’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, and data governance
Experience with the Department of Defense, and specifically the Defense Intelligence Agency
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration
Experience with managing and optimizing data storage solutions, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data lakes
Experience with handling data security and compliance, including classified data
Ability to design and implement large-scale data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and big data solutions
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, cloud services, data governance, machine learning frameworks, API and microservice architectures, and DevOps practices
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master's degree
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification, Google Professional Data Engineer Certification, or similar Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
