Data Governance Lead

We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist to help us strengthen our data quality practices at Telia Finance. In this role, you will focus on improving and maintaining data quality across our organization. With our data governance policies already in place, your primary responsibility will be to support the implementation of data quality processes, help monitor and improve data accuracy, and work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure our data meets business needs.

You will also contribute to maintaining our business glossary and data catalog, ensuring consistency and clarity in how data is defined and used across Telia Finance. Collaboration will be key, as you will work with different teams to address data quality challenges and drive awareness of data best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Support data quality initiatives by identifying and addressing data issues.
• Assist in monitoring data quality metrics and reporting on key findings.
• Work with data owners and stewards to implement data quality improvements.
• Maintain and update the business glossary and data catalog.
• Assist in data cleansing activities to improve data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with different business areas to ensure a common understanding of data definitions and quality requirements.
• Help facilitate data governance forums and discussions.

Is this you?

To be successful in this role, we believe you have 1–3 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or a related field, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Your experience includes data management processes, standards, and documentation, and you thrive in a collaborative team environment. Experience with data profiling, cleansing, or validation tools is a plus. While experience in the financial sector is an advantage, it is not required.

Key knowledge:

• 1-3 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
• Fluent skills in Swedish, and a great communicator in English
• Experience with data management processes, standards, and data governance principles and frameworks.
• Experience with data profiling, cleansing, or validation tools is a plus.
• Experience in the financial sector is an advantage but not required.
