All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within (12) months from the date of hire. As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen. And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.

Job Description:

  • Support DA team in preparing exhibits for trial, video management, redaction of video and audio evidence, digital discovery request and enhanced technical capabilities in office

  • Video editing and graphics to targeted specifications

  • Handle and organize raw and edited video files

  • Utilize creativities to develop desired video and communication messages for outreach

  • Export videos and facilitate social media/electronic distribution

  • Ensure compliance with high journalistic standards

  • Utilize various case management software systems to improve evidence management (i.e. ProsecutorbyKarpel)

  • Identify innovative solutions to expanded video evidence/body cameras by law enforcement

  • Utilize data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and PowerBi

  • Support internal DA efforts to analyze and use pertinent information: streamline the collection, storage, and maintenance of data

  • Set up workstation's hardware and peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)

  • Install and configure software ensuring the integrity and security of data

  • Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance

  • Provide training to users on software and computer equipment

  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance with minimal downtime

  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)

  • Equipment inventory, ordering and staff allocation

  • Other duties as assigned to assist in the overall responsibility of the office

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in, Information Technology, Communications, Computer Science, Statistics, Film or related field. Minimum one year video editing and post-production experience. SQL and Data Visualization for data analysis purposes. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

Prioritize and manage work effectively and efficiently to accomplish tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems Intermediate knowledge of digital trends and editing principles.

  • Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Edius, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom)

  • Minimum of two years of relevant data analysis, preferably in a public sector

  • Familiarity with geospatial software such as ESRI is preferred

  • Curiosity and a desire to be a lifelong learner

  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

  • Knowledge of the litigation process and rules of evidence

Salary Range:  

$28.36 - $37.92
