Your role as Sr Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive and communicative Sr Data Scientist with extensive experience in data analysis, machine learning, and programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and a proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making in a professional environment.

As a Sr Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex business problems into actionable and easily understandable solutions that align with our business goals and are ready for implementation. You achieve this by Enabling and steering the business stakeholders, by delivering reliable and actionable data insights to make tactical and strategical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve specific business problems.
• Turn complex business problems into clear findings that help take action or reach decisions using technical data solutions independently. 
• Advise stakeholders (pro-actively and on request) on data and insight analysis, data sources, commercial opportunities and market developments.  
• Defines the right triggers for automated campaigns, which can generate personalized recommendations, improves our customer contact strategy within our marketing automation tool to improve the customer journey.
• Develop and improve an attribution model that help marketers understand which channels and touchpoints are most effective in driving conversions, allowing them to optimize their marketing strategies.
• Guiding junior data scientists, providing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Staying updated with the latest data science techniques and technologies such as AI to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
• Discover ways in which business value can be added to the data. Design customer self-service interfaces for the business, visualize by building dashboards and interpret results.

Who we are looking for

• Higher vocational degree and 4-6 years of experience or an academic degree and 2-4 years of experience in the application of Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or marketing automation.
• Strong track record (5 years +) in a similar role or marketing analytics environment, either dealing with marketing automation tools, or experience with machine / deep learning and other data science techniques (hypothesis testing, regression, classification). Preferably, experience in data visualization software solutions like Power BI.
• Good SQL skills and knowledge of programming languages like Python and/or Marketing Automation (e.g.) Salesforce are a must.
• (Attribution) Modelling, Marketing Automation (e.g. Salesforce), ETL tooling, AI and Power BI would be a pre.
• Experience in leading a project or a team is a plus.
• Experience in marketing and sales activities and on- and offline marketing channels.
• Provide good judgement about suggestions that can work and can bring creative ideas to the market.
• Experience in working successfully translating business plans into marketing solutions.
• Analytical mindset and strong in self-learning of the newest technologies. Connect with the external data scientist community on innovations.
• Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written.
• Organizational awareness with the ability to adjust and change with the needs of the organization.
• Pro-active; taking initiative and anticipating potential issues or opportunities before they arise. 
• Other important competencies are having an eye for detail, being resilient, having an eagerness to learn and being a strong communicator.
