The Role

As a Lead Quality Engineer at Tenet3, you will define and implement advanced testing strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role demands technical leadership, hands-on test automation expertise, and a deep understanding of software quality methodologies. You will design and maintain automated testing frameworks, oversee Agile test cycles, and drive continuous improvement in test efficiency and reliability. This position requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, and solution engineers to integrate automated and manual testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring scalable and efficient quality assurance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Test Automation Leadership: Develop and maintain scalable, automated test scripts for functional, API, UI, performance, and regression testing.
  • CI/CD Integration: Design, deploy, and execute automated test suites in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Defect Analysis & Resolution: Identify patterns in defects, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
  • Comprehensive Test Planning: Design and execute automated and performance test plans using industry-standard test management tools.
  • Agile Sprint Leadership: Lead quality engineering efforts in Agile sprints, prioritizing test cases, refining testing strategies, and ensuring high-quality releases.
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance to quality engineers, coaching them on best practices in test automation, defect management, and debugging.
  • Metrics & Documentation: Establish and track key quality metrics, providing insights and reports on test coverage, pass rates, and defect trends.
  • Scalable Testing Solutions: Develop a hybrid testing strategy that blends automated techniques with a robust manual testing playbook for comprehensive coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with API and UI test automation frameworks.
  • Strong coding skills in the following: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or AWS.
  • Deep knowledge of QA methodologies and Agile testing best practices.
  • Experience developing automated and performance test plans.
  • Expertise in CI/CD and test automation tools, ensuring seamless test execution in development pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex test failures.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional quality efforts.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
