Internship: Python developer - Data analysis for innovation programs

Function

This opportunity will take place in the innovation programs team, a central team in Barco, devoted to establishing & overseeing cutting-edge innovative projects covering a broad variety of emerging technologies.

Specifically, you focus on automating the post-processing and follow up of time registration data related to these innovative projects. The scope of this internship will be to implement new functionalities for a Python tool already in use in the department.

Key responsibilities

• You will combine data sources related to time registrations of projects, ensuring compatibility and integration of disparate data sets.

• You will create clear and structured representations of the data.

• You will write code to process the aggregated data, to extract meaningful insights from the data.

• You will create automated reporting, providing clear and efficient overviews for decision-making purposes.

• You will work proactively within a team setting to determine the most effective output formats and functionalities.

Your profile 

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field

• Experience in Python development projects and data processing is a must.

• Experience in Excel is a must, specific experience in creating macros is nice to have.

• Be able to brainstorm solution and communicate project status to a team.

• Be able to write technical reports & user’s guides.
