V2X is in search of a data analyst to provide expert analysis and evaluations on supply chain functions to help improve the organization's results. The supply chain analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the company's supply chain operations by collecting and interpreting data to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and ensure products are delivered on time and cost-effectively, often focusing on areas like inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution, while collaborating with different departments to streamline processes and increase overall efficiency across the supply chain.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data analysis: Gathering and analyzing data from various sources within the supply chain to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Performance monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like inventory levels, delivery times, and supplier performance to assess supply chain health. 
  • Demand forecasting: Analyzing historical sales data to predict future demand and optimize inventory levels. 
  • Cost optimization: Identifying areas to reduce costs within the supply chain, such as negotiating better prices with suppliers or optimizing shipping routes. 
  • Process improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency. 
  • Risk mitigation: Identifying potential supply chain disruptions and developing contingency plans. 
  • Reporting and communication: Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports. Required skills for a supply chain analyst:
  • Analytical skills: Strong ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. 
  • Problem-solving skills: Identifying issues within the supply chain and proposing effective solutions. 
  • Technical proficiency: Expertise in data analysis tools, supply chain management software (e.g., SAP), and reporting platforms. 
  • Communication skills: Effectively communicating complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Collaboration skills: Working effectively with cross-functional teams across different departments. 
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    • Ability to create, enter, retrieve, and print from software programs such as; Excel and Word.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
    • 0-2 years of relatable experience
    • Must have knowledge of computer use, with experience in Microsoft Office.

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S4 & IFS systems.
    • Two (2) years of experience serving in a similar role – spanning knowledge of purchase orders and buying.
    • Knowledge and experience in working with customers and/or suppliers.

    Physical Requirements: Primarily, it is an office environment. You must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
