Are you looking for an internship that provides hands-on experience in research publishing and the chance to make connections at one of the largest publishers of education and research content?
The Springer Nature Opening Doors internship in the Marketing Data Analytics and Technology Department is a paid opportunity in Germany to gain experience in the industry of research and science news publishing.

The successful applicant will spend up to six months within Marketing Data, Analytics, and Technology, part of the Research Publishing division of Springer Nature. If selected for this internship, you will be developing skills in:
Data Collection and Processing: Developing ideas, and assisting in the collection, organisation and processing of data to ensure it is ready for analysis.
Data Pipeline Development: Helping to design, develop and maintain data pipelines and managing data streams.
Database Management: Supporting the maintenance of databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and optimising performance.
Data Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and quality of data through rigorous quality control processes.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Working closely with senior team members and other technical teams.
Continuous Learning: Continuously honing skills and keeping pace with the evolving field of data analytics.
Reporting and Analysis: Producing regular and ad-hoc reports, analysing data, and creating presentations.
Learning New Tools: Using tools like Colab, Google Big Query and Python for data analysis, pipelining and reporting.

About you:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related/adjacent fields.
Available to start in June 2025 for an internship of up to six months.
Strong interest in solving challenges in our data landscape.
Fluent in English and have an existing right to live and work in Germany.
Familiarity with SQL and Python.
Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights.
Ability to effectively communicate findings through written reports and presentations.
Attention to Detail - careful approach to data cleaning and ensuring data accuracy.
Willingness to Learn - eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, and adapt to new challenges.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with senior engineers and other team members.
