Who We Are

We are currently seeking a Engineer Software Developer to work out of our San Diego office. This role will provide software development and IT support to the MK 18 Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) program at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific. The MK 18 program features Hydroid’s REMUS 100 & 600 unmanned vehicles and will be an important part of future littoral surveillance and mine counter measures efforts by our military customer.

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of a programming team to develop a UUV mission planning, mission monitoring and post-mission analysis application.
  • Collaborate with outside development teams to ensure functionality of external program plug-ins.

  • Receive assignments from program lead developer and perform periodic code reviews.

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

  • Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. 

  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.

What You Must Have

  • Must have four years of software programming experience (education may be substituted for work experience).

  • A minimum of two years of software development and coding experience with C#.

  • A minimum of one year of Angular 10+ experience.

  • A minimum of one year of Python experience.

  • Experience with JavaScript-based open-source web application framework like Angular, React, Vue or Ember required.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
