As part of Guardian’s strategy to Wow the Customer, Reimagine Mutuality, and Unleash what’s possible; we are building a Data Management Center of Excellence. This team will focus on building an enterprise program to improve the quality, accessibility, and protection of the data supporting Guardian’s critical business and analytics processes.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our insurance company and report to the Data Governance Consulting Supervisor. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing analytical solutions to manage data in support of Guardian’s Insurance industry needs through our Data Governance tool of Collibra. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of Data Management and Analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, regulatory compliance, and process improvement in the insurance industry
You Will:
- Analyze current data management policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop new data management policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Implement data solutions in our Collibra and reporting environments to enforce policies and procedures across all departments within the company, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
- Develop, deliver and support training programs to educate employees on data policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that data management systems are secure and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct Data analysis to assess data management risk associated with Guardian’s data in scope for Data Governance
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data policy analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Preferred Collibra and Data assessment/querying knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with data management systems and data analysis tools.
- Experience with project management and implementation of policies and procedures.
Location & Travel:
- Three days a week at a Guardian location in Bethlehem, PA; New York, NY; or Holmdel, NJ with two days a week remote.
Salary Range:
$66,490.00 - $99,730.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
