Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Intelligence Systems Engineer to support the development and deployment of next generation tactical intelligence processing and ISR automation solutions. This role focuses on enhancing tactical intelligence collection, exploitation, and dissemination through AI/ML-driven automation, federated sensor orchestration, and distributed data management. The role involves working at the intersection of AI/ML, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems, and advanced data processing to expedite actionable intelligence at the tactical edge.

What You Will Do:

Data Layer Development & Distributed Intelligence Architecture

  • Enable seamless machine-to-machine communication by developing a schema-less, open-source data management system supporting multiple distribution patterns (Pub/Sub, Point-to-Point).
  • Implement autonomous, intelligent agents for automated node discovery and adaptive data routing in contested environments.
  • Enhance real-time data flow between tactical edge platforms and command nodes to improve decision-making speed.

AI-Powered Decision Support & Tactical Model Shop (MLOps

  • Develop and integrate MLOps capabilities to continuously improve intelligence models in dynamic environments.
  • Implement AI-driven strategy management systems that dynamically adjust based on evolving battlespace conditions.
  • Design and optimize automated sensemaking to match mission-critical intelligence taskings with operational needs.

Infrastructure & System Engineering

  • Engineer scalable ISR solutions that support federated and distributed intelligence operations.
  • Identify and configure analytics pipelines to optimize intelligence processing, sensor fusion, and targeting workflows.
  • Deploy AI/ML models for sensor exploitation and decision automation in time-sensitive environments.
  • Ensure interoperability with open standards, security protocols, and multi-domain operational requirements.

AI/ML-Driven ISR Orchestration & Intelligence Processing

  • Develop and implement AI/ML-enabled orchestration for optimizing sensor and resource tasking in tactical environments.
  • Design automated target recognition and sensemaking algorithms to rapidly process intelligence data.
  • Implement machine-to-machine functions that enable real-time federated sensor tasking and response.
  • Enhance F2T2EA (Find, Fix, Track, Target, Execute, Assess) kill chain processes by integrating AI-driven analytics.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, ISR systems, or advanced data processing.
  • Background in AI/ML algorithms, automation, and machine learning model deployment (MLOps).
  • Expertise in distributed computing architectures, data mesh design, and cloud-based or edge computing environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
  • Familiarity with military intelligence concepts, ISR operations, and DDIL data environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with ISR sensor tasking, federated data systems, and tactical intelligence processing.
  • Experience working with open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, geospatial data, or real-time sensor integration.
