Intern: 3D Computer Vision Researcher

Role

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to explore and evaluate cutting-edge 3D reconstruction techniques. In this role, you will contribute to advancing state-of-the-art methods, with a focus on Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs), 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), and other emerging approaches.

How your work moves the mission forward

Your work will have direct applications in vision-guided robotics, helping to push the boundaries of 3D scene understanding and reconstruction.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and evaluate 3D reconstruction solutions, comparing them against state-of-the-art methods.
• Identify promising research directions and adapt existing solutions to enhance performance and efficiency, with a focus on robotic automation applications.

Skills you will need to be successful

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a relevant field.
• Proficient in software engineering and algorithmic programming, particularly in Python.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Familiarity with current research trends in 3D computer vision, including NeRFs, 3DGS, and deep learning-based multi-view stereo.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results.
• Prior software engineering internship experience is preferred.

The hourly rate for this position is $69.71+ benefits. Rates are determined by role, level, location, and education. Your recruiter will share more about the specific hourly rate for this role during the hiring process.
