Intel CCG SEG SAI Research Lab is creating the next generation of AI systems, pushing the boundaries of research and technology to produce a positive impact on society and create better AI PC user experiences. Our lab is researching technological trends and advancements of AI PC and client computing technology. We are currently working on multiple research problems combining ideas from multiple domains, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, and Computer Vision, Video Generation, immersive AI PC experiences.  

We are looking for researchers who are passionate about one or several of the topics below:  

  • Great interest in language model architectures 

  • Next generation image/video and 3D content creation  

  • AI agents and agentic AI and transfer of technology from autonomous & robotics systems  

  • Evaluation and optimization of model architectures components especially for diffusion and regression based on software libraries and hardware approaches; optimization of multi-device execution 

  • You will be responsible for conceiving, researching, prototyping, and publishing new techniques in one of the domains listed above. You are expected to have a strong knowledge of mathematics, algorithmic techniques, and machine learning.  

  • You will also need to have a comprehensive understanding of the state of the art and to be a regular contributor to top scientific venues (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, SIGGRAPH, RSS, ICRA).  

  • The successful candidate will also possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset and have strong connections with academia.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through schoolwork and/or classes and/or project work and/or internships and/or military training and/or work experience. 

 

Minimum qualifications: 

  • The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical areas or in final year of PhD program 
  • 3+ publication in first-tier highly selective international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or ICRA, ACL, EMNLP 
  • 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, agent based & autonomous systems, AI-based optimization techniques  

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Software engineering experience demonstrated through publicly available software systems, strong background in optimization-based research experience (e.g. in autonomous and agentic system) is beneficial for planned machine learning and neural rendering-related research. Experience with resource-constrained and real-time systems is a plus.   
  • 4+ publications in first-tier highly selective international conferences or journals such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, ICRA, robotics & automation conf, ACL, EMNLP

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
