About this opportunity:
This is a phenomenal opportunity to join the Data & Analytics team.
We’re on an exciting journey and there couldn’t be a better time to join us. The Group is undertaking the largest financial services transformation in the UK, which means we need to continue to evolve as a team as well and empower our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks that they face.
We're looking for a dynamic, motivated, forward-thinking Data Manager to join the team. You'll focus on supporting the business to deliver phenomenal solutions to customers by knowing that the underlying data is well handled, accurate and trusted, building the foundation for AI and future technology applications.
If you want to work in a team that is seen as a centre of excellence that meets the needs and expectations of our customers, then our Data & Analytics team would love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll collaboratively work with colleagues from different areas across Insurance, Pensions & Investments and the wider Group in order to understand and provide value and insight for our customers. You'll be ensuring alignment to Group policies. Educating both business and data colleagues on Data Management standard processes, policies and principles.
- As a Data Management SME, you'll support the Platform teams leading on and providing expertise in key Data Management initiatives.
- Working with key stakeholders to ensure Collibra, our Data Catalogue, is accurate, complete and up to date, with Consumption Contexts and Critical Data Elements identified and approved through Governance.
- Finding opportunities to improve Data Management controls through simplification and automation.
- Developing Data Quality rules to apply within Ataccama, Data Plex and other Data Management tooling.
- You'll be investigating and analysing data to recommend and support solutions for our business areas. As well as seeing opportunities to mitigate Data risks.
Why Lloyds Banking Group:
Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too!
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrable experience in Data Management and a solid grasp of industry standards in Data Governance policies and practices (including Data Quality and Metadata Management).
- Experience of developing Data Quality rules and documenting Data Dictionaries. You're comfortable working with Collibra, Ataccama and other Data Management toolkits.
- Experience of leading a team of data analysts ensuring quality deliverables.
- The desire to learn innovative ways, techniques and technologies and work in an agile way.
- Validated experience of working closely with stakeholder and outstanding communication skills.
About working for us:
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
- A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
- An annual performance-related bonus
- Share schemes including free shares!
- Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
- 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
- A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
