Contract Billing Data Analyst

As a Contract Billing Data Analyst, your typical day revolves around fielding data requests from teams across the organization and building tools to make data more accessible. You'll start your mornings addressing urgent requests from stakeholders, using SQL and Looker to quickly pull the information they need. Throughout the day, you'll split your time between responding to ad-hoc questions about customer billing data and developing self-service dashboards that help teams answer common questions independently. You might spend a few hours enhancing an existing dashboard to include new metrics requested by the Sales team, then switch to helping Customer Solutions resolve a specific billing inquiry. When not handling immediate requests, you'll focus on identifying patterns in the types of questions being asked and creating automated solutions that empower teams to find answers on their own. The role requires you to balance rapid response times with thoughtful tool development, all while ensuring data accuracy and clear communication.

As the Contract Billing Data Analyst, you’ll…

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Generate timely reports and visualizations using SQL, Looker, and other analytics tools
• Develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions to improve stakeholder access to data
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies through data analysis

Cross-functional Support

• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Solutions teams
• Transform complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
• Support product decisions through data-driven insights and metric tracking

Technical Operations

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
• Maintain and update billing analysis systems and databases
• Connect multiple data sources to create comprehensive analytical solutions

What will you bring to this role…

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis roles
• Advanced SQL query writing capabilities
• Expert proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with data visualization tools and platforms
• Experience with LookML and Looker

Core Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellence in written and verbal communication
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated experience in multi-source data integration

Compensation Information

This position is an hourly contract position; 20 - 40 hours per week

Hourly Rate:  $34 - $40
