The Role
As League continues its rapid growth and seeks to revolutionize healthcare through technology, the strategic development and implementation of data products and AI solutions become paramount. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of AI & Data Products to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and deep technical expertise in these areas.
You will spearhead high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and the broader healthcare ecosystem, including executive leadership.
You will champion a data-driven culture and drive the adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance our platform and deliver unparalleled value to our members.
The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in leading the development of complex, scalable data environments, successfully launching data products, implementing AI/ML solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making, and shaping comprehensive data analytics strategies. With a strong background in leading transformational change and building high-performing teams, this candidate will play a crucial role in guiding the introduction of innovative technologies/products to enhance our platform's data environment and deliver personalized, AI-powered experiences.
You'll be instrumental in accelerating the use of automation and AI to expand our data assets, improve the quality of future innovation, and ultimately, drive better health outcomes for our members. In this role, you will:
- Vision & Strategy: Define and champion the vision and strategy for the Data Products & AI organization, and drive an interactive plan to achieve that vision in partnership across the Product Organization.Data Product Leadership: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Growth leadership to identify, prioritize, and build innovative AI & data products that address critical client needs and deliver exceptional value. Lead the product management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals.
- AI Innovation: Drive the exploration, evaluation, and implementation of cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to personalize member experiences, optimize healthcare delivery, and improve operational efficiency. Develop and maintain a roadmap for AI initiatives across the company.
- Executive Leadership: Actively participate in League’s Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic thought leadership on data, AI, and technology trends, and acting as a change agent at the highest level of the organization.
- Data Enablement: Direct the development and management of data, research/insights, and personalization strategies, ensuring data is a key enabler of business growth and a driver of improved member engagement.
- Data Governance & Quality: Define and implement robust data management frameworks and structures, enabling the business to quickly and effectively access, interpret, and utilize data. Establish and enforce data quality standards and monitoring processes.
- Team Leadership: Provide expert-level coaching, mentorship, and feedback to the leadership of the data team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive transformational change within the organization.
- Personalization & Engagement: Drive strategy to ensure our platform offers personalized user experiences that meet the highest quality standards, leveraging AI and machine learning to maximize customer engagement and lifetime value.
About You:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data analysis, data science, data product management, and AI/ML implementation - US healthcare industry experience is required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in progressively responsible leadership roles (through to the senior management level), managing medium to large-sized teams and cross-functional initiatives
- Proven experience in building and launching successful data products from ideation to market
- Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms and techniques, with experience in applying them to real-world business problems
- Meaningful experience working with executive level leadership, influencing strategic decision-making, and driving organizational change
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate data insights and AI/ML models into tangible business value
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience building positive working relationships with senior leaders across the business
- Track record of success managing and delivering complex data projects in an agile environment
- Results-driven and forward-thinking, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all US locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience.
