What you’ll be doing
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing the hardware infrastructure that powers our advanced robotic systems, including power distribution, sensor integration, and embedded computing. You will take full ownership of the hardware development lifecycle, from initial concept and system architecture to design, prototyping, testing, and production.
In this role, you will work closely with mechanical, firmware, and software engineers to develop high-performance, reliable, and scalable solutions that push the boundaries of our next-generation robotics. Your contributions will directly impact system efficiency, responsiveness, and overall functionality, driving innovation in autonomous and intelligent robotics.
Responsibilities
Design and develop circuits and PCBs for robotic subsystems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Characterize, test, and validate hardware systems across robotic platforms to meet operational requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to architect, design, and implement delivery solutions.
Design, build, and integrate electromechanical robot systems for various applications.
Develop sensor fusion algorithms and state estimation techniques utilizing multi-modal sensor suites.
Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and ongoing system maintenance to ensure operational stability.
Identify and mitigate technical risks proactively, ensuring robust and efficient development processes.
Qualifications
BS in Electrical engineering with 3+ experience.
Experience in designing and testing electrical systems in robotics, consumer electronics, or related fields.
Strong analog and mixed-signal circuit design skills with a focus on performance and reliability.
Experience in system integration, development, and testing of robotic systems.
Proficiency in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, Ethernet etc.
Proven ability to design, build, and test hardware from concept to implementation.
Experience in debugging circuits with embedded software, utilizing tools from oscilloscopes to firmware-level analysis.
Hands-on approach to hardware design, prototyping, debugging, and testing, eager to tackle complex challenges.
What makes you standout
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
Foundational knowledge in key hardware areas, such as sensors, motors, batteries, cameras, power systems, and thermal design.
Familiarity with the NVIDIA Jetson platform and its applications in robotics.
Exposure to industry sectors such as automotive, medical, aerospace, or robotics.
Basic understanding of DC motors, including specification and validation principles.
Passionate about hardware development, thriving in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Experience in thermal testing and EMC/EMI compliance verification.
Ability to develop automation scripts (Python, Bash) to support hardware testing.
Experience collaborating with overseas vendors and manufacturing processes.
Self-motivated and pragmatic problem-solver, balancing efficiency with high-quality solutions.
