Oracle offers a comprehensive and fully integrated stack of cloud applications and cloud platform services.We are looking for a seasoned security engineering professional to drive the development and architecture strategy of our SaaS Cloud Security products mission. This is a director level position that demands strong product development and leadership experience. SaaS Cloud Security organization is responsible for securing enterprise-grade software services on behalf of our 25,000 customers, processing over 60 billion transactions per day.
As an engineering leader you will design, develop and execute multiyear Security product initiatives to improve the security and certification posture of Oracle’s SaaS services. You will partner closely with peers, developers, and customers to create new security solutions, while simultaneously evolving existing security capabilities.
This position requires strong people leadership, product and software development experience, deep technical knowledge and hands on design leadership in building next generation security solutions for the SaaS products landscape. You will also research the SaaS industry landscape and help steer architecture and strategy for security solutions that will provide a competitive edge for Oracle SaaS.
Previous experience with WAF, CSPM, security monitoring, detection, alerting and response systems will be desirable for this role.

Job Responsibilities
- You will be architecting, leading or guiding a team of software engineers that is designing a next generation security and identity engineering systems that push the envelope of both preventive and detective SaaS security solutions of compelling value to SaaS customers.
- You will have attunement to trends in the broader security industry and specific security challenges of SaaS platforms and SaaS customers, and help drive product, architecture and engineering strategy for security solutions for Oracle SaaS.
- You will have strong knowledge of Application Security and of Security platforms in the Cloud infrastructure.
- You will have experience in building security solutions based on big data, security analytics and machine learning that will demonstrate SaaS Cloud Security innovation and leadership across the industry for internal and external customers.
- You will be a driver of creating a culture of design quality and attention to detail at Oracle through your multi-faceted leadership approach including the work product your team delivers, your hiring practices, and your dedication to growing the individuals on your team into strong Oracle design leaders.
- You will collaborate closely with other development and DevOps resources across the organization who will be contributing to the product development and operational rollout.
- You will collaborate closely with our partners in program and product management to understand our customers and build the right solutions and products that meet their needs and make their businesses complete. You will work with PM team on production rollout of security products to SaaS customers.
- You will work closely with your partners and peers in security operations who leverage your innovation and bring value and world class security solutions to internal and external customers.
- You will influence and create new security and identity solutions, security processes, security standards and security operations to support hyper-scale SaaS growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in driving, leading and guiding a security DevSecOps team for a large-scale IaaS/PaaS/SaaS Cloud Service Provider, or Fortune 500 company.
- Deep technical understanding of security architecture, engineering, deployment, and operation best practices.
- 12+ years of technology and architecture experience with a solid foundation in complex software system design in the area of cloud / service and software development for Enterprise and vertical Industry solution.
- Experience developing or supporting Cloud Security solutions including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Identity and Access Management.
- Experience with development languages such as Java and Python
- Experience with Oracle SaaS Spectra Services development and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Service development will be highly desirable.
- Hands-on development skills as well as in all other technical skills necessary for excellence in all stages of product engineering.
- Strong knowledge of modern vulnerability threats including intelligence, discovery, mitigation, remediation and root cause
- Experience developing or supporting cloud infrastructure security solutions including Identity and Access Management, Security Automation, DevSecOps engineering, Data Loss Prevention, Log Management and Analysis.
- Ability to guide and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
- Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
- Understanding of security threat types and vulnerabilities including malicious insiders, advanced persistent threats, RCE, DDoS, XSS, SQL Injection, CSRF.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
