Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 

  • Estimated annual base pay:  Level 1: $59,600 (minimum) - $74,500 (midpoint) - $89,400 (maximum). Level 2: $79,360 (minimum) - $99,200 (midpoint) - $119,040 (maximum).

Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Data Scientist, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  The Data Scientist provides data analysis assistance for primarily the Supply Chain function but may also engage in cross-functional projects.  This position locates/gathers/extracts data pertinent to the problem statement at hand and subsequently formats data sets in preparation for discovering patterns/correlations for creating models (single or group of algorithms) that derive technical, process, and/or business value. The result is the development and implementation of data tools to use in business processes as well as providing training for end-users.  The Data Scientist uses traditional Artificial Intelligence methodologies. This position works under a moderate level of supervision and seeks direction/guidance on more advanced problem solving.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Understand business needs with the ability to break down and understand business problems using modeling and algorithmic solutions that leverage statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Proficient in applying statistical analysis and modeling techniques on small and large datasets to solve specific business unit problem statements.
  • Utilize data sources to extract and format structured and non-structured data for moderately complex problem solving and process support.
  • Mine data sources, transforming them into features that can be used with Machine Learning (ML) tasks modeling techniques.
  • Build/train predictive algorithms using and Design-of-Experiments, Bayesian inference, ML modeling techniques.
  • Evaluate AI models for effectiveness.
  • Continuous learning in the data science domain. Creates a long tern self-development plan.
  • Build strong partnerships- demonstrate integrity and build trust with others.

What We Are Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain required.
  • Level 1: Experience preferred, but not required. 
  • Level 2: Minimum 2 years related field experience required or entry level or entry level Master of Science degree. Minimum 2 years’ experience with software development lifecycle processes required.
  • Effective presentation and communications skills that "tells the story" (summarize results) to a diverse set of audiences with varying background and technical skills.
  • Strong analytics and critical thinking with aptitude for problem-solving through accurate data interpretation skills.
  • Effective teamwork approach to problems. Demonstrates ability to effectively operate in a project team environment and communicate with customers.
  • Understands Supply Chain tools, methodologies, and master data i.e., planning parameters, supplier profiles, and MRP.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of Business Intelligence tools utilizing Power BI or another similar visualization software to meet critical business needs.
