Software Engineer 1 - Elixir

We are seeking a talented Elixir Engineer to join our dynamic development team focusing on building innovative analytics platform solutions. This role is pivotal for someone passionate about functional programming and excited about working with Elixir and the Phoenix framework to develop scalable and high-performance applications. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance our analytics platform using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Review and contribute to technical discussions to improve team processes.
• Learn and implement new technologies as needed to meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
• Document development processes, code changes, and technical information.
• Contribute to the improvement of our deployment processes and toolchain.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven experience with Elixir and Phoenix framework.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of relational databases (especially Postgres) and SQL.
• Familiarity with other languages/technologies (e.g., Scala, Java, Python) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
