We are seeking a highly motivated student for a research internship to explore and advance work on reinforcement learning-based path planning algorithms. You will work closely with our team of experts and help contribute to the development of safe and efficient navigation systems for our autonomous vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the autonomous driving/parking team to design and implement reinforcement learning algorithms for path planning.
- Develop simulation scenarios to test and validate path planning strategies.
- Analyze and optimize the performance of path planning algorithms in various driving and/or parking scenarios
- Assist in integrating reinforcement learning models with existing autonomous driving/parking frameworks
- Document research findings through internal research reports, present results to the team, and contribute to publications in top-tier conferences if suitable results are achieved.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with a strong focus on machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning.)
- 5+ years of relevant work/academic experience.
- Major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with a strong focus on machine learning, computer vision, and/or natural language processing.
- Strong understanding of reinforcement learning principles and algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with machine learning libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with the C++ programming language.
- Familiarity with path planning techniques and autonomous driving concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related discipline.
- Publication record in reputable AI/ML/CV/NLP conferences or journals.
- Experience with Autonomous Driving algorithms and systems.
