About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Data Analyst who loves games to join our well-established, passionate, and valued analytics team.You’ll lead the ongoing analysis of PikPok’s titles to better understand user behaviour and commercial performance and drive an environment of effective decision-making based on sound hypotheses. The analytics department enables us to make great game experiences by providing analytics, business intelligence, and statistical expertise to the wider studio. 

You’ll be collaborating with people from all around the business working on varied and interesting projects - from Product Owners and Game Designers, to Marketers, Programmers, and C-suite leaders. You’ll be comfortable delivering your own projects from end to end including ad-hoc data analysis, dashboards, statistical modelling, A/B testing, machine learning; and you are able to pick the right tool and identify the most valuable jobs to work on. Our work is varied and you need to be fast, flexible, reliable, and a good communicator.

Requirements

The Senior Game Data Analyst’s responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with people from all around the business to understand their goals, questions, and key decisions they need to make - turning this into a plan to collect, analyse, and learn from our data.
  • Presenting actionable data and analysis for improving the acquisition, engagement and monetization of our audiences.
  • Creating statistical models and analyses, applying a scientific approach and critical thinking.
  • Assisting game developers to implement effective and efficient telemetry and A/B tests.
  • Extracting and analysing extensive user data from multiple sources including in-app telemetry, 3rd party platforms, A/B tests.
  • Building and maintaining data models and dashboards to be used by decision makers around the business.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to other analysts, and shape best practices for the analytics department


What we’re looking for:

  • Naturally curious and analytical in approach, finding creative ways to get answers from data while driving best practice and high standards within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills: collaborative in nature, empathetic toward the goals and queries of multidisciplinary teams (Product Owners, Marketers, Designers, Programmers) and our players; 
  • Ability to discuss and create solutions to new problems - i.e. problems no one is familiar with yet.
  • Takes the initiative and actively prioritises own workload to maximise value as well as drive tasks through to completion with minimal guidance. 
  • At least 3+ years proven experience delivering actionable insights, preferably in digital product or consumer-based data (gaming / e-commerce / advertising)
  • Direct experience, or a strong understanding of free-to-play games and game design, especially mobile free-to-play.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and either Python or R.
  • Strong experience with statistical modelling, experience with machine learning is a bonus.
  • Confidence in Tableau or similar data visualisation software.
