Are you passionate about transforming data into impactful insights? Join us as our new Analytical Engineer!

Insurance is becoming even more data driven and our business environment is getting more complex to analyze and predict as we’re facing new risks and changing market dynamics.

As the Nordic leader in insurance, understanding and gaining insights into customer behavior and risk is at the heart of what we do. This is an opportunity to play a key role in leveraging data and analytics to excel in risk assessment and improve pricing. Your work will drive fast and impactful decisions, influencing customers across the Nordics.

About the Role

As our new Analytical Engineer, you will be a key player in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making in the organization. You will collaborate with analysts and data scientists to build and maintain analytical data products that serve both the Nordic and local markets.

Leveraging our data and machine learning platform on Databricks, you will use programming languages like SQL and Python to load risk- and pricing-related data from internal and external data sources. Additionally, you’ll support the organization in interpreting unstructured data by utilizing LLMs and AI solutions, with support from cross-functional teams to provide new insights into risk and pricing.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the data products are optimized for analysis, are of high quality, and are well-documented. You will play a central role in promoting and developing best practices for analytical engineering, improving the way we work with data in the Pricing & Analytics unit.

As the primary Analytical Engineer in Finland, you’ll work closely with local analysts to gather requirements and identify opportunities to create Nordic synergies in our data products and to support them with Finland -specific data needs.

About the team

The risk and pricing data team is focused on delivering high-quality data solutions that enable robust reporting, pricing analysis, and decision-making capabilities across the Nordics. The team is part of an experienced and growing Nordic community dedicated to becoming the best Pricing & Analytics organization in the Nordic insurance market. We’re a recently founded team and are currently recruiting team members from each of our local markets.

Who are you?

You are a problem-solver with a passion for data and technology, ready to tackle complex challenges in a dynamic environment. You thrive in collaborative settings and are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that make a tangible impact. You have a solid understanding of the types of data used within risk and pricing, including claims data, risk models and policyholder behavior and how these drive business outcomes. You have an ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
