.Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Finance Transformation team. This role is pivotal in transforming the finance function from a supporting role to a strategic business partner, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and enhancing decision-making capabilities.
About the role:
Collaborate with IT and business teams to document data requirements for finance and regulatory changes, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
Review and improve existing data management and business processes, integrating new finance and regulatory reporting requirements.
Analyse complex financial data and design innovative data-driven solutions, identifying and addressing process gaps.
Develop and implement data solutions to support finance and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with regulations like BCBS239.
Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity, implementing necessary controls and fixes.
Improve data lineage processes, maintain documentation, and conduct gap analysis to recommend system improvements.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical, and data teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of data requirements and reporting solutions.
Maintain market knowledge of new data technologies and tools, and develop external vendor relationships, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong experience working with a consulting firm as a Data Consultant, focusing on finance and regulatory environments in Banking & Insurance sectors.
Experience with Financial Services clients and in-depth knowledge of finance processes and controls, including Management Reporting and Regulatory Reporting.
Proven experience in Financial & Regulatory Reporting, including IFRS reporting and Prudential and Statistical Reporting.
Proficient in data management frameworks, compliance requirements, and regulations (e.g., BCBS239), with knowledge of data tools, BI Reporting, T-SQL, Python & R, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle & SAP).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with knowledge of tools to assess and improve data quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies, and the ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations to communicate complex data and insights.
