Business Data Analyst

Job Description

Job title: Business Data Analyst
In this role you will ensure data consistency, quality, and utility across key domains. Also, you will collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional experts to enhance analytics, support system improvements, and align Master Data Management (MDM) across processes and IT applications.


Your role:

  • Perform advanced analytics, data mapping, and reporting to support initiatives and projects.

  • Work on data quality initiatives

  • Support system and process improvements.

  • Develop deep expertise in key data domains and maintain a strong expert network.

  • Gather and document business, technical, and compliance requirements for Master Data Management consistency.

  • Deploy standards and guidelines to ensure process and system alignment across teams (Markets, BUs, Sales, Order Management, others).

  • Work with experts to gain a full end-to-end view of data processes, ensuring alignment with Business Data Stewards.

  • Ensure timely delivery and high-quality analysis and reports.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into analytics solutions.

  • Bridge technical teams and business stakeholders to align Master Data behavior.

  • Validate data lineage and contribute to building a data catalog.


You're the right fit if:

  • You have bachelor’s or master’s degree in information management, computer/data science, or related field.

  • Experience with SAP or similar industry applications preferred.

  • Proficiency in one / two key data domain (Material, Customer, Installed Base, Pricing, others).

  • Knowledge of applications like Windchill, SFDC, SAP, Service Max, and similar.

  • Experience with analytics tools (Advanced Excel + Macros, Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.).

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar-sized, complex, matrixed organization.

  • Experience in the medical or highly regulated industry is a plus.

  • Strong business acumen, including industry, sector, and process knowledge.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of data flows and lineage.

  • Excellent communication and articulation skills to bridge technical and business perspectives.

  • Independent, structured, and well-planned work approach with strong documentation and guiding capabilities.

  • Problem-solving mindset with experience in root cause analysis and lean principles.

  • Curious, resilient, and collaborative, able to work across global teams and time zones.

  • Experience working with global, multidisciplinary, and virtual teams.
