About the opportunity
The Prospect and Data Analyst will work closely with the Manager, Lead Nurture and Conversion, to implement the Sydney Future Students lead nurture and conversion plan across international and domestic markets. This involves delivering high-quality data, analysis, and insights to support the prospective student lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, cleaning, distributing, and managing of prospective student data to align with parameters set by various departments in accordance with stewardship and management protocols.
- Collaborating on the migration of legacy data into systems, ensuring data quality and consistency whilst exercising initiative and judgment
- Building surveys to analyse key recruitment activities, gathering insights into their effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and informing future strategies.
- Drafting reports and providing insights to inform internal planning processes and external regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate on data mapping and the creation of a data dictionary to support accurate migration into CRM
- Prepare, map, and standardise prospective student data for use across student recruitment communications.
- Establishing processes for ongoing data governance, including developing the governance rules, managing data access, accuracy, and security.
- Adherence to privacy and data legislation, ethics, and WHS regulations.
- Finding digital solutions for leads management and automation and supporting the integration of systems and other platforms to streamline communications.
- Providing recommendations for future-proofing data collection, storage, and management.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in advising management on data quality issues, optimising data pipelines, and supporting the team with planning during peak recruitment periods.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the University’s student recruitment goals, contributing to the implementation of a future-proofed data strategy, and enabling the seamless integration of systems and processes.
About you
- Proven expertise in excel and database management in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience with field mapping, data standardisation, and cleaning data for system migration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, reconcile, and resolve data conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to segment and analyse large datasets, producing actionable insights.
- Advanced written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience in creating templates, workflows, and automations to improve data handling and reporting processes.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in statistical analysis, business analytics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with BI or statistical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar.
- Familiarity with integration tools like Zapier or third-party connectors for streamlining data workflows (advantageous).
- Understanding of the Higher Education sector in Australia, including widely used sector terminology and basic recruitment and admissions processes (advantageous).
