Data Visualization Specialist (Power BI)

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Visualization Specialist (Power BI) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Valencia, Spain. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Assess customer requirements, determine technical feasibility and document results;
• Draft technical specifications based on functional requirements;
• Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs;
• Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards);
• Develop highly complicated reports (e.g., drill through, drill down, dynamic parameters, sub-reports) and multi-dimensional analysis tools (e.g., cubes);
• Provide PL/SQL and SQL scripts (e.g., queries, views, stored procedures, triggers, packages) to support front-end BI applications;
• Ensure in-depth unit, application and integration testing ;
• Assist in the creation and enhancement of design and development standards.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• More than 5 years of experience in data visualization and BI reports development;
• More than 5 years or more developer experience in a corporate or large non-profit setting;
• Relevant experience and high proficiency in MS SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Excel;
• Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL scripts, SQL Server Scripts, HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
• Experience with the complete systems development lifecycle process;
• Working knowledge of MS SSIS and SharePoint;
• Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with BI tools;
• Expertise with charting and other data visualization techniques;
• Excellent command of the English language.
