Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  The position is remote in the US, Canada, France, or Spain.

 

As a key leader within the Global BI & Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence, the Director, Data Management drives data governance, master data management (MDM), and data quality initiatives to establish a single source of truth for critical data domains, including customer, product, and supplier data. This role ensures data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute MDM Strategy – Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise MDM framework, ensuring alignment with business priorities and scalability for future growth.
  • Enforce Data Governance & Quality – Establish and uphold data governance policies, standards, and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Align Data Strategy with Business Goals – Collaborate with business leaders to drive stakeholder buy-in, ensuring MDM initiatives deliver measurable value through quick wins and long-term impact.
  • Optimize Data Management Tools – Assess and implement MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDM, IBM InfoSphere, Collibra) to enhance data governance and analytics capabilities.
  • Resolve Critical Data Issues – Partner with IT, data stewards, and cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, integrity, and compliance.
  • Monitor & Report on Data Quality – Continuously track data governance performance, providing transparency and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Educate & Support Teams – Foster a culture of data excellence by training teams on governance best practices, data stewardship, and compliance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years in data management, governance, or analytics, with a track record of developing and implementing data strategies, MDM, and governance frameworks.
  • Expertise in data governance principles, data quality management, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency with MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDM, Reltio, Collibra).
  • Strong database, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives for data governance transformations.

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MDM integration.
  • Experience implementing data governance in supply chain and manufacturing environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
