We are seeking an AI-experienced Data Analyst / Engineer with deep expertise in AI, data analytics, cloud technologies (Azure & AWS), and business analysis. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in understanding customer needs, defining AI-driven solutions, and delivering value through data analytics. They must be comfortable engaging with customers, gathering requirements, defining solutions, and presenting proposals.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with stakeholders to translate complex AI and data concepts into actionable business solutions while managing product roadmaps, writing requirements, and delivering high-impact AI & data projects.

You must be a New Zealand Citizen or have a New Zealand Work Visa to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Business Analysis
    • Engage directly with customers to understand their AI and data analytics needs.
    • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
    • Define and document business use cases, user stories, and functional requirements.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on AI and data strategies.
  • AI & Data Analytics Solution Design
    • Define AI-driven data analytics solutions tailored to customer needs.
    • Architect and design AI and data solutions using Azure, AWS, and other cloud-based AI/ML services.
    • Develop proof-of-concepts and validate AI/data solutions before full-scale implementation.
    • Work with data engineers and AI/ML specialists to implement solutions.
  • Product & Project Management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales, to develop and launch AI-powered analytics solutions.
    • Own and manage product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and backlog grooming.
    • Work with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of AI & data projects.
    • Track and measure solution performance, making continuous improvements.
  • Documentation & Proposals
    • Write detailed business requirements, technical requirements, and statements of work (SOWs).
    • Create customer proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations.
    • Develop high-quality documentation for AI and data analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive expertise in AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • Please do not apply if you do not have a background as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst
  • Strong experience with Azure AI, AWS AI/ML, and cloud-based analytics solutions e.g. Snowflake.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, AI & business analysis.
  • Ability to write clear and detailed requirements documents, SOWs, and proposals.
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills—able to present AI solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with data pipelines, big data architectures, and AI-driven analytics.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Understanding of AI governance, compliance, and ethical AI principles.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI, Data Analytics, and Cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or business analysis.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in finance, retail, or digital transformation.
  • Certifications in Azure AI, AWS AI/ML, or Data Analytics-related fields.
