Citi is a leading global bank for institutions with cross-border needs, a global provider in wealth management and a U.S. personal bank.The Product Manager is a senior management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.
Responsibilities:
- As Custody Credit Product Manager, help with evaluation of Custody credit utilization, review, design and implement appropriate rules and controls
- Design and build an optimized Credit operating model for the business, including the identification and implemented of key credit risk metrics, automations, controls, operating processes and KPIs
- Co-ordinate and liaise with individual product leads to identify and address credit control gaps and issues
- Ensure compliance with the Banking & International Risk Securities Services Standard and Procedures
- Partner with and challenge Regional and Country Product Heads, Coverage and other first line business colleagues on credit related matters and operating processes required for the Custody Credit product offered
- Crisis Management (Country and Client) – Lead and Co-ordinate the credit crisis management plans with Custody Product and Country teams and 1LoD & 2LoD counterpart Credit units
- All this needs to be underpinned with a strong change management capability and as a change manager, develop and manage a comprehensive change management plan and ensure all stakeholder are aligned and informed throughout the process
- Able to identify potential risks associated with the change and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions
- Design and implement a change communication strategy that clearly informs benefits and outcomes of the initiative
- Lead the creation of the Custody business case for the data programs by collaborating with leaders from functions, lines of business and regions and track finding
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience into Custody Product Data Experience
- Seasoned Risk Professional to help lead development of a balanced risk management mindset across Product, Operations, Technology and Client partner groups.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with stakeholders in the business. Comfortable delivering results in a largely matrix role – influencing others without direct management oversight to deliver business results.
- Excellent communicator, written and oral, with the gravitas to manage and present to regulators and boards as well as senior business management
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, coming to terms with and bringing order to an at times fragmented technological, organizational and operational landscape
- Forward looking with a holistic approach, with problem solving and root-cause identification skills
- Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics and familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project cycle
- Can work across boundaries, both organizational and geographic
- Demonstrate high degree of ownership and influence business outcomes without direct authority.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
