VP/Director – Customer Management Direct Mail Credit

We are currently seeking a Vice President/Director to drive OneMain’s Personal Loan Credit strategy across Customer Management and Direct.  This leader will drive the company’s largest credit program that has significant impact on the company’s P&L.  They will own our underwriting decisions across Present Customer (PC) renewals in all channels, direct mail to potential new customers, and new strategies related to cross buy.  

As a key member of the Analytics and Marketing leadership team, this individual will be responsible for driving business results through multiple areas including growth strategies, risk management, and enhanced customer experiences in our personal loan products.  

Working with senior partners, the role will have responsibilities for strategy implementation, technology roadmap development, competitive intelligence, and performance monitoring.  This individual will represent the company and engage with key business stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners.
 

A successful candidate will utilize skills that enable them to be versatile and successfully lead initiatives across multiple disciplines. They will bring new ways of thinking, data sources, technologies, and capabilities to our business, accelerating our performance across all portions of the lending lifecycle.  

In the Role
•    Develop the vision and set of objectives to create step change improvement in our underwriting
•    Design, recommend, document, and execute consumer underwriting, product, and customer experience strategies to improve our lending portfolio
•    Partner with other leaders to define business priorities, align talent and resources, and communicate progress to executive leadership
•    Use new data sources, analytical frameworks, and models to create insights, draw conclusions, and influence at all levels of the organization
•    Elevate talent within the team through effective hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members

Requirements
•    Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, or Computer Science) 
•    7+ years of experience in consumer lending, driving informative risk decisions through analyses; Master’s or PHD degrees may offset experience
•    4+ years of analytics leadership experience, building and prioritizing teams and objectives based on company strategy
•    Advanced analytical skillset using tools such as SQL, SAS, or Python
•    Innovative and capable of developing creative solutions to complex, data-driven problems

Target base salary range is $160,00 - $170,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
