POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a curious and adaptable student developer to research and implement innovative AI solutions. This is an opportunity to work closely with the QNX Services Engineering Team in Ottawa, working with major automotive companies.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Length of Term: 8 Months

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with Systems Engineers to develop and fine-tune LLM agents.
* Develop pipelines for fine-tuning and optimizing LLM models.
* Work with Langfuse to enhance system capabilities.
* Utilize OpenAI APIs (Embedding, Compression, and Fine-Tuning) to integrate advanced functionalities.
* Implement and manage Qdrant for efficient data handling and retrieval.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools and utilities used by the Technical Project Management team.
* Collaborate effectively with the Engineering Services Team.

Skills and Qualifications

* Strong foundation in programming fundamentals.
* Strong Python experience.
* Familiarity with REST APIs, web frameworks, and development tools.
* Experience with LLM, GPT, or similar NLP models is a plus.
* Experience with Langfuse and Langraph is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using OpenAI APIs (Embedding, Compression, and Fine-Tuning).
* Knowledge of Qdrant for data handling.
* Experience with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in working across different operating systems and the command line.
* Knowledge of prompt engineering.

* Experience participating in hackathons.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Strong problem-solving skills.!
