Location: Dubai

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Management: Oversee and manage the real-time streaming platform to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Development and Design: Utilize your 5+ years of experience in Java and Microservices to design, develop, and optimize real-time data streaming solutions using Flink, Beam, or Spark Streaming, and Kafka.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Source Control and CI/CD Pipelines: Leverage your expertise in GIT, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kaniko, Shipwright, and other automated build/deployment tools to maintain streamlined development processes.
• Cloud Technology: Work extensively with public cloud platforms, preferably Azure and OCI, and utilize cloud automation toolsets for enhanced application performance.
• Linux and Shell Scripting: Configure Linux OS and develop shell scripts to automate and streamline operations.
• Data Streaming at Scale: Handle streaming data sets at scale, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Design and implement event-driven architectures, ensuring resilient, secure, and efficient data pipelines.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct automated unit and integration testing, solve issues in distributed services, and ensure system resiliency and monitoring in production environments.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Microservices, and real-time data streaming technologies (Flink, Beam, Spark Streaming, Kafka).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Expertise in source control (GIT) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, OCI) and cloud-native applications.
• Strong Linux OS configuration and shell scripting skills.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, network fundamentals, and host-level routing.
• Ability to tune distributed systems and implement security engineering practices.

Functional Skills:

• Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
• Analytical thinking and effective research skills to benchmark against best-in-class technologies.
• Ability to influence and motivate multiple teams, enhancing overall productivity and technical capabilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with teams across the organization.
• Deep understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, data sensitivity, and security practices.
