About the Role
We are seeking a Quantexa Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data solutions leveraging Quantexa’s cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and big data processing to support analytics, risk management, and decision intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable data pipelines leveraging Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Scala to ingest, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Configure and deploy Quantexa software across public and private cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Write efficient, fault-tolerant, and production-ready code for data processing systems.
- Optimize ETL processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and performance.
- Work closely with solution architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Implement DevOps best practices for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring using Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
- To technically communicate with demonstrable experience of working in rapidly changing client environments
- Work on testing libraries of common programming languages (such as ScalaTest or equivalent). Importantly, you'll know the difference between varying test types (unit test, integration test) and can cite specific examples of what they have written themselves.
What You Bring
- 4 – 6 years of experience in data engineering, big data processing, or software development.
- Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python associated with data engineering.
- Must have experience in Quantexa.
- Hands-on experience building batch processing pipelines in a production environment.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
