Simulation Solutions Architect

As a Simulation Solution Architect on our team, you'll develop simulation and training solutions and resolve complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of agile design and development approaches. You’ll apply modern software development practices and technologies, including Agile, DevOps, Cloud, containers, and microservices and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. You work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions.  You will lead and mentor teams of developers in developing simulation solutions.

You Have: 

  • 6+ years of experience with designing, developing, and leading software development, engineering, and technology transformation projects

  • 4+ years of experience with services, including middle-tier, microservice, or Web services design, development, and operations 

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud computing and open-source solutions 

  • 3+ years of experience with the development of new solutions and game-changing innovations 

  • 2+ years of experience with Web APIs, development, and operations 

  • Experience with applying modeling and simulation through all phases of the system life cycle and working in high-performing cross-discipline teams 

  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, and C++, and with event simulators and high-performance computing architectures

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information technology

 

Nice If You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience in the development and integration of live, virtual, and constructive simulation environments using DIS or HLA

  • 3+ years of experience working with legacy simulation systems and integrating their capability with newly developed simulation solution frameworks 

  • 2+ years of experience implementing large language models with simulation applications

  • 2+ years of experience implementing machine learning algorithms for simulation behaviors 

  • Knowledge of integration of simulation environments with mission command systems, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and digital engineering environments

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional (CSMP) Certification

 

Clearance:  
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
