As an AI/ML Research Engineer at GSK.ai, you will explore novel approaches in machine and deep learning to leverage large-scale biological datasets and deliver actionable insights that drive the discovery and development of life-changing medicines. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative machine and deep learning methods to analyze high-dimensional biological and genomic datasets, building predictive models for precision oncology.
- Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements, identifying opportunities to integrate state-of-the-art methodologies into precision medicine research.
- Collaborate with cross-functional experts in biology, genomics, and medicine to align your work with scientific goals.
- Deploy scalable algorithms and solutions into production environments to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
What we’re looking for
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, systems biology, bioinformatics, physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in machine learning, with a proven track record of building and applying deep learning models. Exposure to functional genomics, molecular biology, or modeling dynamical systems is a plus.
- Programming and software engineering skills, with familiarity in deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset, with a passion for applying AI/ML to challenging real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn and contribute within a team-driven environment.
