THE ROLE:

As a Data Visualization Consultant at Keyrus, you will play a crucial role in projects with our clients, in designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights for business stakeholders. You will extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business initiatives and ad hoc requests. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

📍Location: New York City🗽 | Hybrid model: 2 - 3 days on site

What your day to day life will look like?

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights for business stakeholders.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business initiatives and ad hoc requests.
  • Develop and implement data models that support analytical and visualization needs.
  • Collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements, gather feedback, and refine visualizations for maximum impact.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency in all visualizations and reporting solutions.
  • Communicate insights and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring the message as appropriate.
  • Analyze complex ecosystem of systems, operating models and understand how it impacts underlying data.
  • Stay current with emerging data visualization and analytics trends to drive innovation within the team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, preferably within financial services, technology, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Pyramid).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of data analysis techniques and methods.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning, with an eagerness to dive into complex data challenges.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis (in Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.


Must-Haves:

  • Technical proficiency, with the ability to understand complex engineering concepts and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing effective data visualizations that convey complex information clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of visualization best practices, including color theory, layout, and chart selection.
  • Ability to dissect analytics and generate actionable insights for business impact.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and excited to take on challenges and build solutions from 0 to 1.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams by translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Desirable qualifications:
  • Background in financial services, with specific experience in asset management strongly preferred.
  • AI enthusiast with an eagerness to apply emerging GenAI technologies to analytics for innovation and efficiency (ML or traditional AI is a nice to have)


Compensation:

In compliance with the salary transparency law in New York City, the salary for this role is between $125,000 and $145,000 USD annually. The final offer will be based on your experience, skills and qualifications.
