As Ford Motor Company continues to advance the revolution in mobility, electrification and AI, traditional security practices need to evolve, and the Ford Red Team is growing in lockstep. Ford RT is an organization of passionate, technical security experts who actively test applications and systems for weaknesses and advise on resolution.
As a Red Team Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in Ford's applications, cloud implementations, APIs, infrastructure, and in-vehicle systems to improve our overall security posture. Ford RT is nimble, and we win as ONE by collaborating throughout all phases of an engagement: from identification to initial access, to establishing persistence and consulting on remediation.
What you’ll be able to do:
- Conduct vulnerability identification, assessments, active exploits, and social engineering to identify and target potential weaknesses
- Collaborate with other members of the security team to develop and implement strategies for social engineering, and to aid in the exploitation of vulnerabilities
- Incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning and large language models in your daily work
- Keep up to date with the latest attack techniques and security trends to stay ahead of potential threats
- Document findings and author reports that clearly communicate risks and recommend remediation techniques
- Participate in incident response activities as needed
- Provide guidance and recommendations to other teams on security best practices
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Will consider 5 years of offensive security experience in lieu of a degree
- 3 years of experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing or other related security roles
- Knowledge of common attack vectors and techniques, as well as methods for detecting and mitigating attacks
- Experience with common tools used in penetration testing, such as Kali Linux, Commando, Metasploit, Nmap, C2, and Burp
- Familiarity with common programming and scripting languages such as Python, GO, and PowerShell
- Proven ability to work with large language models, machine learning and AI implementations
- Ability to succeed in a highly unstructured work environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellence in collaborating with peers and partners of all skill levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Our preferred requirements:
- Security certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, or GXPN.
- Familiarity with cloud security and modern web application security.
- Experience with social engineering.
- Experience with mobile development and attack scenarios.
