Hyperspectral & Acoustic Hybrid-Sensing Engineer (m/w/d) – Multi-Modal UAV Detection & Tracking

Your mission

• Develop and integrate hybrid sensing systems combining hyperspectral imaging, infrared (IR), and acoustic sensors for UAV detection and classification
• Design AI-driven sensor fusion algorithms to enhance long-range UAV tracking under various environmental conditions
• Optimize multi-sensor data processing pipelines to improve object recognition, stealth UAV detection, and spectral anomaly detection
• Implement real-time spectral analysis, leveraging LWIR, MWIR, SWIR, and hyperspectral imaging for UAV signature identification
• Develop acoustic detection models, utilizing beamforming, Doppler analysis, and machine learning-based audio classification
• Work on sensor synchronization and data correlation for improved UAV positioning and threat assessment
• Conduct field tests and validation of hybrid sensing technologies in complex operational environments
• Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards (MIL-STD, ITAR, NATO STANAGs, ISO sensor guidelines)

Your profile

• 5+ years experience in multi-sensor integration, spectral imaging, or acoustic signal processing
• Expertise in hyperspectral imaging, IR sensor technology, and passive acoustic sensing
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, or TensorFlow for sensor data analysis and AI-enhanced fusion models
• Experience with acoustic beamforming, Doppler filtering, and spectral anomaly detection
• Strong knowledge of remote sensing, UAV signature analysis, and AI-based classification models

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or counter-UAV applications
• Background in real-time edge computing for multi-sensor UAV detection
• Knowledge of quantum-enhanced hyperspectral sensing and AI-driven acoustic modeling
