Day in the Life of an Associate Software Developer

We are looking for curious, adaptable, and self-driven individuals with a passion to innovate. Bring your experience and ideas to help us ensure the growth of our company by supporting the manufacturing and creation of our aircraft. No matter where you are in the company you are critical to the success of Bell. As an Associate Software Developer within the Enterprise Software Development and Data Solutions team at Bell, you will leverage generative AI technologies to develop innovative products and solutions. You will work closely with other developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful development, integration, and deployment of GenAI-driven applications. You can also expect to…

• Understand and adhere to IT principles and best practices.
• Maintain and advance technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community.
• Assist in the design and development of scalable software solutions using .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) and Blazor.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under the supervision of senior developers.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code meets quality standards.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
• Document code consistently throughout the development process.
• Understand and adhere to AI principles and best practices.
• Design and develop AI-driven software solutions using generative AI models.

Qualifications

 

What You Will Need to Be Successful

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related field is required. 
• 0-2 years of relevant experience  

 

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience developing with .NET, Angular, and Microsoft SQL
• Experience developing with GenAI technologies and frameworks (e.g., Azure OpenAI, LangChain, etc).
• Understanding of generative AI principles and techniques.
• Experience with software development tools (Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Artifactory, Git)
• Understanding of software development technologies and best practices
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
