Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain, hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the next 10 years.
Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.
About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team in our Chatswood office on a full-time permanent basis. This new role will report directly to the Data Analytics and Reporting Manager and provide analytical support to cross functional business areas across the organisation.
A key aspect of this role involves the transitioning of excel data sets and reports into online solutions to streamline reporting, enhance accessibility and alleviate manual report preparation. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for developing automated solutions, administering the data pipelines and presenting data-driven insights to team leaders. You will be required to develop and maintain rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable position.
- High proficiency in using MS Excel to manipulate and analyse data sets and using Power Query to automate repetitive tasks.
- Advanced PowerBI skills for developing data visualisations, with a detailed understanding of both DAX and M language.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Openness to learning and acquiring new skills in emerging software and tools.
Desirable:
- Knowledge or prior work experience in the Government sector or construction industry.
- Experience with using SQL to query and analyse large data sets.
- Experience using Power Automate and Power Apps.
