A Senior Internal Auditor, Data Analytics (DA) contributes to the value of the Group Internal Audit function by performing and/or overseeing data analytics and data science that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of Paysafe Internal Audit, to achieve their objectives, mission and vision. They participate as specialist front-to-back analytics support for a portfolio of audit teams and support the development of the function in core Data Analytics knowledge and proficiency. In addition, they play a lead role in driving Paysafe Internal Audit’s innovation goals by proactively identifying, upskilling and delivering on innovation projects, automation opportunities and analytics capability enhancements.  

What to expect: 

• Taking ownership for the technical delivery of Audit DA testing strategies across the team, presenting the results of testing performed in optimal ways.  
• Owning subject matter expert oversight for a portfolio of audit teams re: DA planning, execution and documentation, to ensure audits are impactful and delivered to high quality 
• Owning technical delivery of prioritised Internal Audit innovation and automation projects and proactively driving identification of these. 
• Overseeing and reviewing technical delivery of Audit DA testing strategies delivered by other team members.  
• Coaching and supporting the broader team on opportunities to use DA techniques, to build in-house DA knowledge / competency. 
• Attending industry events with the Data Analytics Director, to stay abreast of emerging technologies or data science techniques being used in internal audit. 
• Proactively upskilling in emerging technologies or data science techniques (such as Generative AI and automation approaches) to support Paysafe Internal Audit’s insights and innovation aspirations. 
• Building strong relationships with the wider Internal Audit team and key Paysafe data source SMEs and automation teams, to support effective data understanding and automation delivery. 

To be successful you need to have: 

REQUIRED 

• 3+ years’ experience of Python and SQL coding to perform analytics and data science in a professional environment 
• Experience of delivering advanced data science techniques (e.g. core machine learning approaches) 
• Experience of automating repeat analytics requirements 
• Strong Innovation mindset – challenging the status-quo to drive improvement  
• Strong project management skills 
• Strong communication and organisational skills 
• Strong academic record, including bachelor or higher degree equivalent, preferably in an applied maths subject (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science etc) 

DESIRED 

• Experience of automating processes / engineering hosted analytics for use by non-technical colleagues 
• Experience of analytics innovation – such as the use of Gen AI within processes 
• Strong track record of continuous self-development (e.g. data science qualifications or certifications) 
• Strong stakeholder relationship management experience 
• Coaching or people development experience 
• Experience of internal/external audit, risk, compliance or other assurance discipline
