Adtran seeks an outstanding Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work on the execution of ML/AI-driven Network Intelligence Solutions. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team of engineers, data scientists and subject matter experts to develop proof-of-concepts, explore AI-driven insights, and define next generation of data intelligence products. 

Responsibilities 

• Develop and optimize ML models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and AI-driven insights. 

• Design and prototype scalable ML pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, training, and inference. 

• Deploy, test and monitor ML models in production, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. 

• Leverage cloud services (AWS) for distributed training, model hosting, and data storage. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product owners. 

• Optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to support high-performance ML workloads. 

• Ensure compliance with MLOps best practices, including CI/CD, model versioning, and monitoring. 

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML, deep learning, and cloud-based ML solutions. 

Basic Qualifications 

• Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.  

• At least 8 years of active professional experience in software development. 

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, data intelligence, or cloud-based solutions. 

• Proficiency in Python, with experience in developing scalable, cloud-native applications. 

• Experience in other scripting languages is a plus. 

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, Redshift, and Athena. 

• Experience in Databricks is a plus. 

• Experience developing microservices and serverless applications. 

• Strong understanding of machine learning workflows, data processing, and AI-driven insights. 

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). 

• Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and collaborating with Product Owners and cross-functional teams. 

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills. 

• B2+ English proficiency, with strong communication and teamwork abilities. 

• Experience working across time zones and cultures. 

• Strong ownership attitude. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in the networking, telecom, or cybersecurity industry. 

• Familiarity with Wi-Fi networks, mesh topologies, and standards (e.g., IEEE 802.1X). 

• Experience developing and deploying large-scale, distributed cloud services. 

• Strong knowledge of data engineering, ETL processes, and big data analytics. 

• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Kibana, etc.). 

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate). 

• Background in high-performance computing, real-time data processing, or AI-driven automation. 

• Proficiency in prototyping AI/ML applications. 

• Experience working across time zones and culturally diverse teams. 

• Proven experience in designing and implementing the Lakehouse Architecture.
