Thousands of engineers globally are shaping this platform, and our Prague tech hub is a key part of that effort. But we don’t just keep the engine running—we push the tech boundaries of what’s possible, alongside teams from Lisbon, London, and New York. Here in Prague, we have teams specializing in frontend development (including mobile, TV, and web), backend development (Java), DevOps & Platform Engineering, AWS, and data science. 

What is the plot?  

We’re the Online Video Platforms team, here to make your streaming experience smooth and effortless. We manage access to content, the number of devices and streams, and ensure your shows play instantly. We remember where you left off, provide parental controls, and keep your content secure with all the necessary security checks in the background. In short, we take care of all the technical details so you can enjoy a hassle-free streaming experience. 

What role will you play? 

You will be part of a dynamic team managing our non-functional testing processes for backend services. You'll collaborate with talented Performance Engineers to set best practices across multiple teams, actively participate in agile planning and delivery, and ensure our features exceed non-functional requirements. 

Your daily tasks: 

• Help to manage our non-functional testing processes for backend services (load/soak testing, resilience testing, etc). 

• Collaborate with other Performance Engineers to define the department's best practices across multiple teams. 

• Participate in the team's agile planning and delivery process. 

• Ensure features meet specified non-functional requirements (response time, requests per second, failure rate, etc). 

• Define test plans, test scripts, test data requirements, etc.  

What skills do you need to play your role well? 

• Test automation experience. 

• Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or JavaScript. 

• Knowledge of networking and HTTP Protocol. 

• Ability to track down the root cause of a defect using debugging tools. 

• Ability to work well in a team, self-driven, and eager to learn. 

• Creative thinking, analytical skills, with attention to detail. 

• Organized and methodical. 

• Fluent in written and spoken English. 

Nice to have: 

• Experience in the Java Platform (Groovy, Java, or Kotlin). 

• Experience in bash scripting. 

• Experience in load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc). 

• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, etc.). 

• Experience in backend components monitoring/metrics (Prometheus, Elastic, etc).
