We are seeking a Data Quality & Governance Lead to take ownership of enterprise-wide data quality, governance frameworks, and compliance initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that our data assets are accurate, reliable, and well-managed, enabling better business decision-making and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data governance strategy, data quality assurance, metadata management, and regulatory alignment.

This is a Hybrid role intended for Monterrey, Mexico. Resume/CV must be submitted in English.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Quality & Management:

  • Lead data quality initiatives to monitor, clean, and enhance enterprise data assets.
  • Implement data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes to improve accuracy and consistency.
  • Define and track key data quality metrics (DQMs) and establish data issue resolution protocols.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure effective data lineage and metadata management.
  • Work closely with business teams to oversee global data quality reporting and remediation efforts.

Data Governance & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a data governance framework to ensure data integrity, compliance, and usability across the organization.
  • Define and enforce data policies, standards, and best practices to drive consistency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to establish data ownership and stewardship processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in the BI function.

Technology & Tools Implementation:

  • Leverage data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Microsoft Purview to manage data catalogs, lineage, and policies.
  • Integrate automation and AI-driven solutions for data quality monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Advocate for a modern data architecture strategy that enables self-service analytics while maintaining governance controls.
  • Design, develop, and execute enterprise training programs on data governance, as well as data tools such as PowerBI to foster a culture of data driven decision making.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DCAM).
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, data profiling tools, and metadata management platforms.
  • Experience working with enterprise data lakes, warehouses, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data governance initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Data Governance (CDMP, DCAM, Collibra Ranger, etc.).
  • Experience in master data management (MDM) and data stewardship.
  • Background in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience implementing change, understanding of change management principles.
